    Winter Wonderland

Once you visit the park in the winter you will understand the saying “If you haven’t seen Yellowstone in the winter, you haven’t seen Yellowstone”.

Once you visit the park in the winter you will understand why we say “If you haven’t seen Yellowstone in the winter, you haven’t seen Yellowstone”.

Through our sister company SeeYellowstone.com, we offer snowcoach and snowmobile adventures into Yellowstone National Park, running from December 15th to March 15th.

Three Bear Lodge is one of the first and very few authorized Yellowstone Park concessionaires. We use only park-approved BAT, ecologically friendly snowcoaches and snowmobiles. The Yellowstone regulations call for an authorized guide to accompany each group going into the Park. Our local, knowledgeable guides add to your adventure as they show and tell you things only a local could know.

Even if you’ve never been snowmobiling before, we have you covered: from pre-ride training to full clothing rentals. We rent them on site so you can ride right from your door.

Full day Snowcoach and Snowmobile Tours run daily to Old Faithful and Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

    Spring: Yellowstone Reborn

Spring is a colorful season when Yellowstone is reborn! Receding white snow and emerging green plant life highlight the season when bald eagles nest, baby buffalo are born, bull elk are in the velvet, young wolves emerge from their dens, and both black and grizzly bears can be seen throughout the Park.

The weather can be unpredictable and range from warm sunshine to heavy snow (often in the same day), but that is offset by the un-crowded roads and boardwalks and lower hotel rates.

SeeYellowstone tours of both the Lower & Upper Loops as well as the Grand Tetons start (Weather Permitting) on Mothers day (USA) weekend.

While the Park can be crowded, with the majority of the visitors coming in July & August, if you park your car and walk just a short distance from the parking lots, you will still be able to enjoy the serenity of the incredible scenery.

A relaxing dip in our outdoor pool, or an enjoyable meal in our onsite restaurant  is a great way to round out a day exploring the Yellowstone.

If you don’t want to drive yourself around, our sister company, SeeYellowstone offers daily tours of both the Lower & Upper Loops as well as the Grand Tetons throughout the summer.

    Awesome Autumn

Fall in Yellowstone is truly an awesome autumn experience, and many people’s favorite time to visit!

Fall in Yellowstone is truly an awesome autumn experience, and many people’s favorite time to visit!

The lack of crowds allow you to savor the season with fewer people! Crisp, cool mornings and warm autumn colors provide a perfect aura for a leisurely “Picnic in the Park.”

We recommend an early morning or late afternoon trip along the Madison Valley to hear the unique sound of bugling bull elk as they battle each other for their harems.

Fall is also the best time to visit the park for amazing photographic opportunities, for photographers of all levels.
